Delivery terms

Delivery costs and times vary depending on country of delivery. To calculate exact costs, after selecting your item, enter your address and the calculation will be made.
I cannot accept liability for delays in the delivery process which are outside my control.

I am committed to customer satisfaction and hope the below terms are agreeable to you. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate in contacting me.

I cannot accept returns or exchanges for items that are worn, used or items that have been washed, damaged, or otherwise altered. Removal of tags and labels will qualify the item as being worn.

If you are dissatisfied with any product you ordered, we will exchange it, replace it or return it for a refund for the purchase price of your merchandise. Simply return the item to us within 14 days of receipt and we will promptly process your return. Items should be returned in their original packaging and with original tags intact, and be unworn to be considered for refund. The swing tag must not have been removed to qualify for a return. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. Carol Smith is not responsible for any item that we did not receive or that is not returned in accordance with the terms of our return policy.

Returns

All returns must be received by Carol Smith within 14 days of receipt. So please post your return within 7 days of receiving your goods.
Please allow up to 14 days from the time of receipt of your return for processing and issuing your refund.

Please return your hat in the original packaging, with labels intact, a copy of the packing document and a reason for the return to:

Orders after 14 days are not eligible for return.

* Please note specially made bespoke hats for a client are particular to them and their outfit. If you are not happy with your hat I will make any necessary changes. However if you are still dissatisfied you can make an exchange of a stock item to the same value.

Exchanges
If you receive the wrong item or a damaged item please return to the above address. We will resend the correct item to you. If you wish to receive an item in exchange for the original item (including different size and/or colour), please return the original item with our original Packing Slip and packaging, and place a new order for the item of your choice. We will process your refund upon receipt of the original item.

Refunding Delivery Charges
Unfortunately, we cannot refund original delivery fees placed for online orders unless the reason for return was our fault. If you cancel your order after the item has been shipped from our studio, delivery and handling costs will not be refunded.

Hat Hire Policy
We offer a hat hire service to all customers in Ireland only.

To hire a hat call into the studio or view our selection of hats and headpieces online. Then place your order with the date you want to wear the hat. We can check availability of the hat.

We will have the hat sent by courier to your delivery address three days before your wedding. You can return the hat in the same box, two days after your wedding.
If the hat is returned on time and in the same condition you received it your insurance deposit will be refunded.
We do not store any credit card numbers.

If a hat is returned late, stained or damaged beyond repair the insurance deposit will not be refunded.

We will give full refund for any hat hire cancelled before it has been dispatched.
